Here at Nielsen Dance Co. we take our roles as a mentors and teachers in your child’s life very seriously. It is our objective to inspire a love and passion for the art of dance in every child who passes through our doors.

In the process, we also strive to set the right example and help your children (and yourself) create memories that will last you a lifetime.

The highest educational and professional standards are expected from all Nielsen School of Dance faculty members. Each of them are lifelong learners who continue to educate themselves in their field through certification programs, teacher-training schools, conferences, and other learning opportunities.

Jazlyn Nielsen Wilson (Director): Jazlyn is also Kim and Pam's daughter. Jazlyn has been dancing since she was just 2 years old. Since then she has won numerous regional awards, including numerous overall solo awards and group titles. Her personality on stage has earned her recognition at competitions and conventions that she has been a part of. Jazlyn has spent the last three years at BYU where she participated in the Folk Dance Team, Tap club, and Jazz ensemble. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in elementary education. Jazlyn is one of our main directors and key choreographers along with her dad, Kim and sister Jamie.

Kim Nielsen (Co-Director): Kim joined our team 30 years ago after receiving a degree in dance education. While in school Kim had toured the country with the Ballroom Dance Team, BYU Young Ambassadors and the Modern Dance Co. Also, their dance company had the opportunity to appear in the original movie "Footloose". During his time at NSD, Kim's groups have won countless national dance awards, including 5 National Dance Championships. Kim has also done choreography for the Jump Co. and Twin Falls High School Jive.

Pam Nielsen: Pam met her husband, Kim, at college and both participated in the Ballroom Dance Co. Pam was also an elementary school teacher for over 25 years and uses her creative talents for writing our dance recital scripts. Pam also assists in teaching our younger dancers and is a wonderful asset to our studio.

Jamie Nielsen John: Jamie is the daughter of Kim and Pam Nielsen and she has been dancing for over 30 years. During that time she was a member of the National Championship Nielsen Stargazer Dance Co. Individually, she has also won the overall national top female dancer. Jamie attended BYU and was a member of the Modern Dance Co. there. Jamie was crowned Miss Twin Falls and was 1st runner-up in the Miss Idaho pageant as well. Jamie has taught at many studios in her lifetime and recently moved to back to Twin Falls. We are excited to have her back with us!

Annie May Heider: Annie was a part of the original Stargazer Dance Co. and were members of the National Championship Team. Annie danced in college and returned to Twin Falls to raise her family and is working at the hospital as a nurse. Annie and her sister Kelsey teach our littlest dancers and both of them are great assets to our studio.

Audrey Gonzalez: Audrey has danced at our studio her whole life and was part of many championship teams.  This will be her 3rd year teaching with us. She will be teaching our little dancers. We are so happy to have her part of our teaching staff. The dancers adore her!

Excellent facilities to encourage learning

In 2005 we purchased our current facility at 235 3rd Avenue E. in historic downtown Twin Falls and we are very pleased with what we have accomplished there.

Our studio currently consists of two 2000 sq. ft. hardwood dance floors with full mirrors and sound system. We also have 2 waiting rooms with class observation and closed circuit TV capabilities. We are continually upgrading our facilities to give our dancers the best possible environment and training to help them achieve their dreams.
